This job took us out to Boxford, MA to replace the windshield on this 2015 Mini Cooper Countryman. This model came equipped with a rain sensor, which uses an infrared beam and sensor located behind the rearview mirror. When the sensor detects moisture on the windshield, it automatically triggers the windshield wipers. Our customer was very pleased with our thorough and efficient service. Windshield Replacement: 2011 Mini Countryman

We replaced the windshield on this 2011 Mini Countryman, the slightly bigger brother of the Mini Cooper, in Winchester, MA. This car is equipped with a rain sensor, which is mounted in contact with the inside of the windshield, near the rearview mirror, and which projects infrared light into the windshield. If water droplets are on the glass, the infrared light is scattered, and the wetter the glass, the less light makes it back into the sensor. This tells the software in the sensor to turn on the wipers, and to set the speed of the wipers based on how fast the moisture builds up between wipes.
