Better Rot Repair: What Goes Wrong and How You Can Take Control

Living in New England exposes your car to extreme weather conditions, which can lead to rust and rot. What you probably did not know, however, is that improper window repair could lead to premature decay by exposing unprotected steel. When damaged glass is removed during windshield replacement, bare metal can be exposed in the pinchweld. The pinchweld is the area in the car window where the windshield or back glass sits. In order to ensure quality auto glass repair, it is important to prime these exposed spots during an installation to prevent any moisture or contaminants from damaging the pinchweld. Unfortunately, many auto glass repair companies skip this crucial step in order to save time and money. Here at Titan Auto Glass, we make sure…

Titan Auto Glass was on-site in Plaistow, New Hampshire to help the owner of this 2004 Ford F-150 replace their windshield and get them back on the road. Once we removed the broken windshield to replace it with new auto glass, we noticed that this pick up truck had a few more issues than a broken windshield. The pinchweld showed rust issues and if not remedied, could lead to a sub-par windshield installation. At Titan Auto Glass, we are all about providing the absolute best service for you and your automobile. We went in and sanded down all of the areas of rust until we got down to the bare metal. Once the rust is removed, we use a special primer on the affected area…

Subaru Windshield Replacement in Woburn, MA

It has been a little while since our last post! Luckily that’s because we’ve been super busy. All of this cold weather and snow has really caused a mess out on the roads. The plows have created an unruly amount of potholes that can cause all sorts of damage to your car when you hit them, but can also cause chunks of asphalt to kick up and crack your windshield. That is what happened to this 2012 Subaru owner in Woburn, MA. A spider-webbing windshield forced this owner to take action and have the windshield replaced. Like many new Subarus, this car has heated wipers which adds an extra little challenge that Titan Auto Glass was happy to take on. We set the glass, made…

Winter’s Toll Still Leading to Windshield Replacements

Winter’s Toll Still Leading to Windshield Replacements

It may be the beginning of Spring, but the toll winter has taken on our roads has lead to number of windshield replacement projects through Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Each one of these 6 vehicles we repaired this week had a broken windshield due to rocks, concrete and other debris kicking up and cracking the windshield. The good news is that there are no more winter storms in the forecast and we should be in the clear until next winter! If you do happen to find yourself with a broken windshield…
